He was stolen from his parents at young age, raised in the harshest spartan environment, stripped of all individuality to the point of not having an actual name, and then forced into brutal combat where one of his only friends died in his arms. She ( or the writer) seems to forget that Finn is a child soldier. Or if he was just some guy from any normal place in the galaxy. It would be one thing if Finn was a former First Order officer who was sheltered and then turned when he found out what they were really doing. We'll just have to wait and see.I hate how she ( or is written to) talks down to him about her childhood. As for her future in the Star Wars saga, Tran is unsure if she's returning for Abrams' Star Wars: Episode IX, but her character is still alive, so anything's possible. ![]() Considering how Star Wars tends to change careers, for better or worse, Tran may soon find herself with numerous other opportunities, just as Daisy Ridley and John Boyega did after The Force Awakens first hit theaters. The duo's adventure on the casino planet Canto Bight - which ended with the retrieval of the code-breaker DJ (though not the master code-breaker they were originally sent for), played by Benicio del Toro - wasn't what many moviegoers were expecting. Finn and Rose's subsequent subplot is among the film's top contentions. ![]()
